10 Awful Movies The Flash Actors Want Us To Forget
7. The NeverEnding Story II - John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen/Jay Garrick)
In 1984, Michael Ende's The Neverending Story was adapted into one of the most beloved children's movies of the decade (and of the most emotionally scarring).
Even though the author hated the adaptation, it earned enough money to warrant a sequel. Since many elements from the follow-up are taken directly from the original novel including Bastian entering the world of Fantasia and joining forces with the hero, Atreyu, it seemed like The Neverending Story II could live up to its predecessor.
Sadly, this movie lacks everything that made the first one special. The sets are tacky, the costumes look amateur, and the acting is terrible. (The acting wasn't great in The Neverending Story either but it's even worse this time). Worst of all, The Neverending Story II completely fails to capture the wonder that was ever-present in the original.
John Wesley Shipp is perfectly fine as Bastian's father (and the character plays a more active role in the plot this time around). Sadly, he doesn't do enough to justify watching the film, even if you're a big fan of his work.
