10 Badass Movie Villains Defeated Way Too Easily

7. Ronan The Accuser (Guardians Of The Galaxy)

Even though Ronan the Accuser is one of the lesser villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in terms of memorability, he's right up there with the most powerful antagonists the franchise has given us so far.

Not only did he have the stones to stand up to Thanos, but he possessed the power to destroy entire planets - something he came within a few seconds of actually doing - and handily defeated Drax in a fair one-versus-one scuffle.

So how was this villain with god-like destructive abilities ultimately defeated? In a dance-off. While this scene is clearly being played for laughs, it not only severely undercuts Ronan's established bloodlust and stop-at-nothing determination, but it's way too easy for the Guardians and a little contrived to boot.

Throughout the film, Ronan is shown to have no hesitation when it comes to violence and murder. He chops off a guy's head in his first scene, tries to drown Drax without a second thought, and kills Thanos' right-hand man - while Thanos watches - without a second of doubt. But all of a sudden, right when he's about to accomplish his main goal of destroying Xandar, Star-Lord's dance moves catch his eye? Okay. Sure.

If he's this easy to confuse, couldn't the Guardians have just flown to his ship earlier in the film, done a dance, and shot him with a powerful weapon while he was distracted? The heroes could've saved the lives of the entire Nova Corps fleet with ease, and Ronan would've gone down with even less hassle.
