Not a ghost story or even one about unknown bumps in the dark, but E.L. Katz's directorial debut was a horror all the same, wrapped up in the clothes of a deathly black comedy. It's a series of ethical quandaries escalated to the silliest degree, but the fact that the excellent leading pair are compelled to play them out is its truly horrific point.
Thanks to a universally great cast, excellent script and a little nagging idea, the horror is situational but entirely pertinent and it's frightful for its perverse familiarity.
