10 Best 2017 Movie Trailers

5. Wonder Woman

Spider-Man Homecoming
Warner Bros.

Release Date: June 2, 2017

The Trailer: Though it does perhaps go on a little too long and reveal a little too much (and that end stinger was rather weak), the trailer looks visually unique for the DC film universe, given that it's exploring a different time period, and the action looks incredibly stylish and slick.

And the score - oh the score. It's positively electric. We've been burnt by solid DC film trailers before so it's hard to get overly excited, but Wonder Woman shows promise.

The Movie: Starting on Diana Prince's home turf then heading off to World War I, Wonder Woman feels more than a little like Captain America: The First Avenger crossed with Man of Steel.

Combining the fantastical with the historical is an interesting premise and should give the film some strong themes to explore - politics, gender equality - lending the piece depth, something the DCEU has lacked up to this point.

Warner Bros. need a critical hit on their hands after the reception Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad received, but we'll have to wait till June to find out if they were successful.
