9. T-Rex VS I-Rex (VS Raptors VS Mosasaurus) - Jurassic World
Despite an incredible box office gross of over $1.6bn, there are nonetheless two distinct schools of thought when it comes to Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World. On one hand, the movie has plenty of fans that see it as an entertaining and worthy successor to Steven Spielberg's classic original, while there are also a fair share of people that see it as a generic and overstuffed studio project that favored spectacle over story and character. To be fair, they're both right. But in terms of blockbuster action, the climactic showdown between the Indominus Rex and the theme park's veteran Tyrannosaur delivered everything the audience wanted from a Jurassic sequel; two giant dinosaurs kicking the absolute fossils out of each other. Of course, the scene begins with the now-infamous moment when Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing outruns a T-Rex wearing high heels (to be fair, the caged animal hasn't had much chance to stretch her legs in the intervening 22 years), but thankfully the human characters take a back seat when the prehistoric behemoths start tearing lumps out of each other. Smashing their way through Jurassic World's main strip, the two dinosaurs scratch, bite and claw for supremacy, with a helpful assist from a Velociraptor paving the way for the Mosasaurus to drag the I-Rex to its doom, and enjoy a substantial evening snack in the process.
