Blinded by the Light is a British comedy/drama film inspired by the real-life events of journalist Sarfraz Manzoor, who co-wrote the script. The movie is named for and based on the music of Bruce Springsteen, and is based on Manzoor's memoir Greetings from Bury Park: Race, Religion and Rock N’ Roll.

The movie takes place in the town of Luton in 1987, where Javed, a British-Pakistani Muslim, discovers the work of Bruce Springsteen, and his life is forever changed. Viveil Kaira takes the lead role alongside Hayley Atwell, Rob Brydon, Kulvinder Ghir, and Nell Williams.

The movie was first presented at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and was later released in August to positive acclaim from critics across the globe. Despite this acclaim, the movie didn't generate enough of an audience to perform well at the box office, barely making back its budget.
