10 Best One-Hit-Wonder Actors

8. Macaulay Culkin

One of the worst parts about being a child actor has to be the fact that an actor is often forever associated with their younger roles. It's true of most actors, but the one who really got nailed with this association was Macaulay Culkin from his role as Kevin McCallister in 1990's Home Alone.

Culkin starred in a ton of movies in the early '90s, including My Girl, The Good Son, The Nutcracker, The Pagemaster, and Richie Rich. Though these films made a ton of money, and Culkin's work was often praised, he would remain attached to Kevin McCallister well into his 30s.

Culkin did take a break from acting after his work in 1994 came to an end. He wanted to focus on his education and took a step back, but he returned in 2003 with a guest spot on Will and Grace.

He continued to act throughout the 2000s, but not as often as he did when he was a kid. His roles never attained the level of star power he had in his younger days. Instead of focusing on his acting, he spent his time writing, having published an autobiography titled Junior in 2006. He also co-founded The Pizza Underground, a comedy-themed rock group, and he's the CEO of the satirical website called Bunny Ears.
