8. Jason Statham Battles A Giant Shark - The Meg

The Meg might've been the most shamelessly stupid movie of the summer, but would you honestly have it any other way? The film concludes, naturally, with protagonist Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) involved in a one-on-one showdown with the gigantic, prehistoric shark.

After scarcely avoiding beaten eaten alive in his submersible, he plants a harpoon into the megalodon's eye, causing it to rush to the surface and dive high into the air, taking the Stath with it.

Both of them crash back to the water (somehow not killing Taylor), at which point nearby sharks notice the blood from the meg's eye and a feeding frenzy ensues. This scene alone was pretty much worth the price of admission and sitting through a glorified $180 million SyFy movie.
