10 Best Shia LaBeouf Film Performances
3. Fury
When you look at Shia's career, it can basically be split into two halves. There is the younger, more carefree half of his career, where he began to show some dramatic chops and break out into different roles.
Then there is the second part of his career, where he harnessed everything he had learned throughout his childhood and used it to captivate audiences in a way that only the best actors can.
Fury is an epic World War 2 film about a tank crew in the dog days of the war. The crew is helmed by Hollywood heavyweights Brad Pitt, Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena, the up-and-coming actor Logan Lerman, and of course the titular LaBeouf, who not only holds his own but is one of the standouts of the film.
Shia plays a Bible-toting religious servicemen and brings a rawness to the movie that not many people knew he was capable of. He has many intense and unbelievable scenes throughout the film, but perhaps the highlight is the monologue he gives at the climax of the movie.
This speech leaves audiences somehow teary-eyed yet also full of hope. Shia has an ability to stir emotions that are hard to evoke, which is something that has become one of his specialties within his career.
