6. Catch Me If You Can

Catch Me If You Can is romp, no more no less. But it doesn’t feel thinly spread and entertains from start to finish.

Based on the true story of conman Frank Abagnale, Catch Me If You Can follows the adventures of a young conman as he pretends to be a pilot, lawyer and doctor. Tom Hanks stars as the Detective Hanratty hunting him down across many years.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays the leading role and is great as he bounces of Tom Hanks’ stubborn detective character. The story never falls flat despite being set over such a long period of time and the action scenes are all very subtly and deliberately played to keep the audience on edge.

It’s mainly a family friendly film so expect to catch it on TV pretty soon.
