10 Best Steven Spielberg Films

4. Jurassic Park

What to say about the second best monster film Spielberg has ever made? It’s another of his films that managed to be more than just a blockbuster and enter cinematic lore.

Jurassic Park is the tale of an ultra rich businessman who, through advanced cloning techniques, brings dinosaurs back to life with the view to creating a new theme park. He brings in a collection of paleontologists, lawyers and scientists to test out the park before it opens when the dinosaurs get loose and wreck everything.

Spielberg, yet again, does a great job building the world and the characters within it to the point where we don’t really see all that many dinosaurs in the first act. The action set pieces will have you on the edge of your seat and the comedy is actually funny, a nice change from many action films from the time.

The whole thing is topped off by John Williams’ awe inspiring soundtrack.
