9. Ruben Fleischer Might Direct Ghostbusters 3

Ghostbusters3 Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer made headlines this week when his name appeared on a shortlist of potential Ant-Man directors, though we found something far more intriguing in the reports. It appears that Fleischer isn't in the running for Ant-Man anymore, and passed on the project when Marvel approached Adam McKay instead. We'll get to that debacle later, but for now want to focus on this little nugget of info presented by The Wrap:
Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer is also in the mix for , but he just had a baby with his wife, publicist Holly Shakoor Fleischer, and may be reluctant to take a demanding gig that will require such a big commitment. He€™s also being considered to direct Ghostbusters 3 for Sony, for whom he directed Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less, though that project isn€™t heading into production nearly as soon.
So, it appears that Fleischer is Sony's next choice for the long gestating Ghostbusters threequel, after The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller passed on the gig a month or so ago. Fleischer would certainly be a good choice, as he displayed a great mix of horror and humor in Zombieland. He worked with Bill Murray on that film as well (and had a great Ghostbusters gag), so perhaps his involvement would persuade Murray to finally come on board the film.
