2. Sony's Marvel Movies Are Being Folded Into The MCU (Morbius)

The question of whether or not Sony's Marvel movies (Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, Kraven The Hunter) exist within the same continuity as the MCU is a saga that's stretched on for years at this point.

There have been countless contradictory, confusing comments from the creatives involved, an endless amount of rumours pointing in multiple different directions, and of course, a whole bunch of fan theories on top. Frankly, it's a bit of a mess.

Probably the most official comment on the matter came when Morbius star Tyrese Gibson claimed that the movie was in the MCU, only for Sony to deny his claim. But then why the hell is Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes - an MCU villain - in the Morbius trailer? Why is Spider-Man in the Morbius trailer? Even Keaton himself admitted he's confused, likening Marvel movie logic to "quantum physics".

Whatever the case, rumours of Morbius being part of the MCU have existed since before that trailer even dropped, and the current multiverse trend has literally opened up a door for the two worlds to collide, whether permanently, or temporarily.

On the plus side, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Morbius are currently scheduled for December and January, respectively, so answers are only a few short months away.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
