10 Cancelled Horror Movies That Could Have Been Legendary

1. Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash

Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash
New Line

Appearing across six comics from November 2007 to March 2008, Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash is the horror battle royale clash no one knew they needed until they reader these stories.

Set after the immediately after the events of Army of Darkness and Freddy vs. Jason, the story immediately earns cinema rights by killing off Lori Campbell, the sole survivor of the Jason/Freddy throwdown and quite possibly the worst final girl in history. Jason Voorhees is once again on his killing sprees, only this time with Freddy Kreuger behind the wheel in his head. Freddy learns the location of the Necronomicon is at the Voorhees old house and discovers that it has the ability to resurrect him.

Whilst this is going down, Ash has been moved to Crystal Lake S-Mart and mistakes some of Jason's kills as being from the Deadites. An epic showdown involving Freddy unleashing the Necronomicon and all of Jason's Friday the 13th kills being ressurected unfolds, crowning off one of the most ambitious works of horror ever seen.

Following the success of Freddy vs. Jason, it looked nailed on that a follow-up involving Ash was going to come about. However, creative differences between New Line Cinema and Bruce Campbell led to the film being scrapped, robbing audiences of what would have been the greatest showdown in movie history.
