In Little Shop of Horrors, poor florist Seymour finds himself drawing enormous crowds after advertising an alien plant he discovered. But when Seymour learns the volatile flower needs human blood to survive, his whole world turns upside down.

Save for the pre-fame appearance of Jack Nicholson, the original Little Shop of Horrors wasn't particularly memorable, but much like the killer plant itself, Little Shop of Horrors took on a life of its own when it was turned into a Broadway musical. The show was such a success, it spawned a new film in 1986, directed by Frank Oz. It didn't make much money but has since developed a massive cult following.

Over 40 years after the musical debuted, the fanbase for Little Shop of Horrors is still going strong. So, when a new adaptation was announced in 2020, people were hyped. The project would've had an all-star cast, including Taron Egerton as Seymour, Scarlett Johansson as Audrey, Chris Evans as Orin, and Billy Porter voicing the carnivorous plant.

Even though the potential was there, COVID-related delays caused Little Shop of Horrors to be shelved indefinitely.
