Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness recently lost director Scott Derrickson but work continues on that as Marvel Studios looks to find a new filmmaker to take the helm of the sequel. Casting calls have pointed to Clea making an appearance and it's about time we see the niece of Dormammu match wits with the Sorcerer Supreme.
The first Doctor Strange included a forgettable love interest in the form of Rachel McAdams' Dr. Christine Palmer so a stronger lead female for the follow-up is a must and given Blunt's strong body of work, it's easy to imagine her holding her own on screen alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.
The only issue with this is that In The Multiverse of Madness is shaping up to be a very busy movie with Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch also set to appear alongside the newly introduced America Chavez. That could lead to Clea playing only a very minor role in proceedings and Blunt definitely deserves better than that.
