WandaVision set photos have confirmed that S.W.O.R.D. is coming to the MCU. Introduced in the pages of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men as essentially the outer space version of S.H.I.E.L.D., it appears as if they've now been formed to deal with threats on Earth following Thanos' devastating attack in Avengers: Infinity War.

It sounds like the adult Monica Rambeau will serve as an agent of S.W.O.R.D. but we've heard nothing about Director Abigail Brand. With striking green hair and a badass, no-nonsense attitude, she's a great character and someone with the potential to be this shared world's new Nick Fury.

As we've mentioned, Blunt is a great enough actress to deserve more than just a minor supporting role in the MCU but she may not want to commit to anything too major. Well, Brand would be the best of both worlds as it means she can have a recurring presence in these films and TV shows while only having to make sporadic appearances rather than a leading role which takes up most of her year.
