10 Characters John Krasinski Could Play In The MCU

Technically speaking, Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, has already appeared in the MCU. In a deleted scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, we see Nathan Fillion playing Simon Williams on some movie posters, referencing the character's comic book history as an actor. The scene was brief, and cut, so it's not canon and we're free to fancast Wonder Man once again, though Fillion would also be a great choice.

Baron Zemo gave Williams a blast from his ionic ray, endowing him with superhuman strength and durability, but slowly killing him, in order to defeat the Avengers. Williams turned on Zemo just before he died, redeeming himself in his final moments. However, like all comic book characters, he was eventually resurrected, joining the team as Wonder Man.

Krasinski could capture both Wonder Man's tough side and the side of him that's been to hell and back, literally. His story is intense, and the Quiet Place helmer is probably the best fit to tell it. Wonder Man could easily become just another powerful superhero, but John Krasinski could make him something more.
