10 Characters That Could Make Up The MCU's Thunderbolts
4. Emil Blonsky
Emil Blonsky is the first character on this list that doesn't currently have any confirmed plans to return to the MCU in the future. That said, ever since The Incredible Hulk left his fate open in 2008 fans have been wishing to see him make his return.
Though he hasn't been seen since, he has been mentioned a couple of times since his sole MCU appearance. His fate was alluded to in Agents of SHIELD, with Coulson confirming that Blonsky was spending his time in a cryo-cell in Alaska, and the one shot, The Consultant, showed a flashback of Jasper Sitwell's conversation with Coulson about Blonsky's suitability for the Avengers Initiative.
While he may not be an ideal candidate for the Thunderbolts in terms of his explosive and unpredictable character, having the Abomination as part of the team would be an incredible spectacle to see. If the Thunderbolts are set to potentially replace the Avengers in the future - at least until the real heroes step in - would there be any better option for the kind of muscle that the Hulk lent Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
Thanks to his history with Thaddeus Ross in the MCU, it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility for the boss to reach out to his former associate and get the band back together again.
