10 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2020's Biggest Movies

The first trailer for Vin Diesel's Bloodshot gave away a surprising amount of plot information, revealing that the title character - Diesel's super-soldier Ray Garrison - is being manipulated by the same people who gave him his powers, who are using him as a weapon to take down pre-selected targets.

The trailer also reveals that Garrison eventually becomes wise to this conspiracy, and from here, it's pretty easy to predict that he will turn on his creators, deciding to murder them so that they won't have control over him any longer.

So, who's the lead scientist responsible for imbuing Garrison with his powers and turning him into a merciless killing machine? Dr. Emil Harting, who will be played by Guy Pearce. And yeah, he's definitely dead. "Scientists create weapon, weapon turns on them" is one of the oldest formulas in the book, and Bloodshot looks like another predictable entry in that category.

The trailer even showed the two facing off against each other. "You can't control me forever", Garrison growls to his creator. "Are you sure about that?" retorts Harting. All that's missing is a shot of Garrison caving Harting's head in with a super-powered punch - which, let's be honest, would be great to see Diesel perform.
