10 Comic Book Characters That Movies Totally Butchered

2. The Hulk (Hulk)

Hulk I'll admit that I'm more keen than most to stick up for Ang Lee's Hulk film; it was artistically fantastic, and ambitiously asked viewers to be patient in waiting for the big green guy to show up (it's almost an hour, at which point most kids in the audience had fallen asleep!) Critics famously noted that Lee's Hulk had "too much talking, not enough smashing", and they were right. Despite Eric Bana giving a spirited performance as Bruce Banner, the film failed to understand the dichotomy of his character, and crucially they didn't even bother to mo-cap Bana's face for the Hulk design. Oh, and The Hulk was too green, and spent too long fighting terrible CGI dogs. Thankfully both the Ed Norton and Mark Ruffalo Hulks managed to obliterate this one from our memories!
