1. Odin (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
In the comics, Odin's power and ability as a fighter dwarf those of Thor's. As a mere side effect of some of Odin's more fierce and destructive battles, entire galaxies have been destroyed. Yes, you read that correctly; the collateral damage when Odin fights can be to the extent that entire galaxies are destroyed, so you can imagine what kind of damage he can cause when he's actually focusing his attacks on something. He has also gone toe-to-toe with the likes of Galactus in a one-on-one battle. That's correct; Galactus. The fellow who eats planets for lunch. Although he loses out ultimately, the fact that he can walk away from battles like that show how powerful he is. He has also shown himself to be superior to the likes of Thanos. And yet, in the MCU, the only real thing we have seen him do is give Thor a good telling off for attacking Jotunheim and imbued Mjolnir with the power to make Thor the warrior that he is. We really need to see Odin getting his hands dirty and more of what he's capable of in combat. This is, after all, a major character being portrayed by an A-list actor - anything like his minor role in the first Thor movie will be a massive disappointment in Thor: The Dark World. Odin needed more screen time in Thor - let's hope that's rectified in the coming weeks when Thor: The Dark World comes to our cinema screens.
