4. The Destroyer Armour (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
While not strictly a character (though it can operate for short periods of its own accord in the comics), the Destroyer Armour definitely didn't get enough screen time in the Thor movie. Following a brief appearance in which it destroyed a couple of Frost Giants who were intruding in Odin's trophy room, it was utilised by Loki to attack Thor during his time as a mortal on Earth. After causing some relatively minor damage in a New Mexico town, it kills the mortal Thor whilst under Loki's control before Thor is brought back to life thanks to his bravery in confronting it whilst powerless. Empowered again by Mjolnir, Thor defeats the armour with consummate ease, deflecting its energy blasts back at it with his hammer before using his weather control powers to create a tornado to lift it high in to the sky. It was such an anti-climatic and brief appearance from an entity that is so much more formidable - near unstoppable, in fact - in the comic books. Hopefully, we will see more from it in future Thor/Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
