10 Comic Book Movie Moments That Felt More Like Horror Movies

3. The Other (The Avengers)

The Other, who had a relatively small part in the Avengers movie as the go-between for Loki and Thanos, was a very horror-esque character. He provided Loki with the Chitauri army that he would go on to (unsuccessfully) use in an attempt to take over the Earth. He wore a hood that hid most of his face - only revealing a greenish mouth area, a monstrous set of teeth and a bright red tongue - and moved around in a very ghostly way, appearing to float - albeit very quickly - on one particular occasion. His words were often very horrifying too, such as how he explained to Loki that Thanos would make him "wish for something as sweet as pain" if he failed and how he intended to see humans "burn". It's a shamet he wasn't utilised more, because he could have been a terrifying villain. As it stands, he merely provided a few short scenes in which the Avengers movie shifted to a horror type atmosphere.
