10 Comic Book Movie Roles Matthew McConaughey Should Play

7. Forge

It could very well be that neither DC or Marvel ever come up with the right comic book character for Matthew McConaughey to play. So it's just as well for him and the general cinema-going audience that they're not the only horses in this race; Fox still have a good hold on the superhero movie market, owning the rights to X-Men and The Fantastic Four. Whilst Marvel's First Family are another of those super-teams that rarely strays South of Manhattan, their Mightiest Mutants are accepting of characters from all across the cosmos. Even the X-Men's roster is relatively short of characters from the South, but they do have one stand-out: Forge. Nicknamed The Maker, Forge's most significant role was as the man who built the machine that took Storm's powers away for a while (his mutant power is being a technological genius), which made their ensuing love affair awkward. McConaughey as Forge opposite a new Storm in a straight adaptation of €œLifedeath€ would be fantastic.
