10 Comic Characters You Totally Forgot Are Already In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

5. Fletcher Heggs

Who? In the comics, Iron Man villain Obadiah Stane formed the Chessmen - a collection of assassins themed to various chess pieces - to try and take out his rival. Heggs' role in the group was the Knight, though his failure to kill Iron Man and subsequent incarceration led to the Bishop killing him as punishment. In the MCU: Heggs appears as one of Seagate Prison's inmates in the Marvel One-Shot "All Hail the King," where his love of Trevor Slattery's Mandarin role motivated him to keep Slattery safe in return for the actor "doing the voice" to entertain him. Why You Forgot: Chances are, you likely didn't even know the Knight's real name, let alone knew the name of the MCU's version of the character. Throw in the fact that the comic character and his MCU interpretation have little in common and it's pretty understandable to not realize the connection.
