6. Douglas Booth

Douglas Booth has been poised to burst onto the scene for a few years now, but something has always seemed to get in the way. You might remember him from a minor role in Pillars of the Earth, or his starring role in the most recent adaptation of Great Expectations with Helena Bonham Carter, or last year's attempt at remaking Romeo and Juliet with Hailee Steinfeld. But none of these roles catapulted him into stardom the way they really should have. Rest assured, though, Douglas Booth fans -- we think that 2014 is going to be his year. He's got two high profile projects due to be released this year, which with any luck will give him that extra little push over the cliff. Booth is playing Shem, one of Noah's sons, in Russell Crowe's biblical epic coming out later this month, which puts him right next to two other really promising young actors, Emma Watson and Logan Lerman. Noah looks to be a major cinematic event, and if it gets half the attention of Braveheart or Gladiator, it's going to boost his career beyond measure. He'll also be starring in Andy and Lana Wachowski's latest outing, a science fiction adventure called Jupiter Ascending, with Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, and Sean Bean.
