8. The Good Life

The Good Life was a gangster comedy intended to serve as a platform for Sylvester Stallone's sibling, Frank. A musician by trade, Frank hoped this movie would help him become a Hollywood star like his Academy Award-winning brother. To help Frank out, Sly was nice enough to make a cameo appearance.

But since the producers, Alan and Diane Mehrez, knew Sly's name sold tickets, they plastered the Rocky actor's name on all the promos. Not only that, they would only show his scenes in previews to give the illusion he was the lead star. This was a weird strategy since the studio could've promoted The Good Life by showing off the impressive cast, which included David Carradine, Dennis Hopper, Andrew Dice Clay, and Beverly D'Angelo.

When Stallone learned of the producers' antics, he tried to sue for $20 million, which was his salary at the time. When Frank Stallone joined in on the lawsuit, the Mehrez siblings countersued for a whopping $50 million. After the case was settled for an undisclosed sum between parties, all production on The Good Life officially ceased.
