10 Convenient Things That Always Happen In The Movies

8. Car Keys Above The Visor

TriStar PicturesTriStar PicturesHow many people, in this day and age, are stupid enough to place a spare key underneath the visor in their car? It's clichéd and it's downright risky. Moreover, if you need a spare key, the suggestion would be that you didn't have one in the first place and, therefore, wouldn't be able to get in to the car in the first place without doing it some damage - not the best move on the part of any responsible or remotely intelligent car owner. And yet it's a rife occurrence in movies. It happens twice in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, for starters. When Schwarzenegger's T-800 is about to hot-wire a car, young John Connor smugly pulls a key from the visor. Later on, when the T-800 wants to steal another car, the visor is the first place he looks and, sure enough, there's a key under it again. It also happens in Independence Day when Jasmine Dubrow - the girlfriend/wife of Will Smith's Captain Steve Hiller - gets in to an abandoned truck (after surviving a situation that will be mentioned later in this list). It happens a hell of a lot in horror movies too - usually when the potential victim is trying to get away from the killer.
