10 Crazy Cartoon Voice Casting Choices That Actually Worked

6. Hugh Jackman - Rise Of The Guardians

Jackman Casting Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny sounds like the punch line to a joke. Come on, Hugh Jackman is this big burly Australian who plays Wolverine, and the Easter Bunny is, well€something that wolverines eat. But that€™s sort of the brilliance of the casting decision. Rise of the Guardians is sort of staged like a superhero movie, just one that happens to be comprised of all the cultural myths that we believed in as children (and began to believe in again after seeing this movie, just in case). There€™s Santa, Jack Frost, the Sandman, the Tooth Fairy€and the Easter Bunny. But he's not the floppy hoppy little guy handing out eggs to little kids that we normally picture when we think of the Easter Bunny. The version featured in Rise of the Guardians is more like what would happen if Sylvester Stallone happened to be a rabbit. Bugs Bunny on steroids, if you will. He's a rough, tough fighting machine, who also happens to be the Guardian of Hope, tasked with protecting the children of the world from the evil Pitch Black (aka the Bogeyman). Now that sounds a little bit more up his alley.
