2. Lt. Muldoon - Planet Terror

Planet Terror is just such a beautiful throwback of a movie that - combined with Death Proof - makes the Grindhouse collection a must-watch for any cinephile. Quinten Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez really made something special here. But if you were to pit the two against each other, then Planet Terror probably just comes out on top, if not for just having an excellent cast alone.

That and this one has zombies in it and that is what we are all here for on this list. After a very confusing deal at the opening that includes dangerous gasses, and balls, said gas is unleashed, infecting Lt. Muldoon and his men. It leabes weird boils on his face, but somehow doesn't push him all the way to the monster zone.

When we catch up with him in the closing act of the movie he at first seems to be right as rain with not a mark on him. But thanks to Abby returning with more balls than ever and a quick chat, Lt. Muldoon transforms into a hideous gelatinous blob thing.

Unlike any creature before him, it's certainly one transformation viewers won't forget for a while after watching.
