From the ridiculous to the sublime(ly ridiculous), this Irish indie from 2005 went almost unseen by mainstream audiences, and its a shame the film's ingenious premise didn't draw in bigger crowds at the multiplex.
With a small but uniformly superb cast including The Babadook's Essie Davis, future Preacher star Ruth Negga and Possum's Sean Harris, this surprisingly tense and seriously scary horror flick follows the inhabitants of a small, remote farm which is under attack from… A mutant cow.
Yes, that is really the premise, and yes, the film from future I Am Not a Serial Killer director Billy O'Brien does manage to mine serious scares from this seemingly comical idea. Just check this one out, you won't believe it until you see it.
