10 Most Cringeworthy Moments In The Harry Potter Movies

4. The Freeze Frame Ending - Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Expertly directed by the legendary Alfonso Cuaron, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is probably the best and most engrossing of all the film adaptations - and yet it still features some of the most unforgivably cringeworthy sequences in the franchise's history, one of which is the downright infuriating freeze frame ending. The scene begins with Harry coming down to breakfast to find the entire student body waiting for him to open a large parcel, because nobody has anything better to do with their lives than to stare at a brown paper wrapping. Anyway, this parcel contains a Firebolt, which is kind of like the iPod 5 of broomsticks, is super expensive and has been sent to Harry courtesy of his new godfather, Sirius Black, in an attempt to buy his love. Harry instantly decides that he has to try it out, of course, so he runs outside (naturally, the whole school follows him, because "Harry Potter"), jumps on board, and takes off into the sky. Then, as he whizzes towards the camera, we freeze on his stupid face. Awkward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_TEgz2dzKI
