10 Dark Harry Potter Scenes That Were Excluded From The Films
7. Fred And George And The Vanishing Cabinet
Those who didn’t read the books may not know that before Harry’s obsession with Draco Malfoy and the vanishing cabinets in the Half-Blood Prince, we actually learn about them in the Order of the Phoenix during an awful prank Fred and George pulled.
While the two brothers are beloved within the Harry Potter fandom, we can admit they did take some of their pranking a little too far.
Slytherin student Graham Montague joined Professor Umbridge’s Inquisitorial Squad and was trying to take house points away from Fred and George when the twins shoved Montague into a vanishing cabinet.
While the brothers didn’t know that the vanishing cabinet was broken and ended up transporting half of Montague to Borgin & Burkes, the brothers showed little remorse that the whole ordeal could’ve killed him if Montague hadn’t managed to apparate out despite having an apparition licence.
The apparition also nearly killed Montague as he ended up lodged in a toilet. The boy was left in a disorientated state for weeks afterwards.
However, Montague told Draco Malfoy about the vanishing cabinets which is what gives him the idea that he can smuggle Death Eaters into Hogwarts to kill Dumbledore.
We guarantee if this scene was used in the films, fans may not think so highly about the twins.
