10 DC Characters Who NEED Their Own Movie

5. Lobo

Nightwing Comic
DC Comics

Lobo is a grisly antihero who could give DC something markedly different to the MCU going forward. While the Avengers had a bristly start as the major personalities clashed, none of the characters were ever shown in a particularly negative light.

Namor was teased in Endgame, and he could offer Marvel their first real antihero. He pales in comparison to Lobo though, who could seriously kick the DCEU up a gear.

He’s had a fairly rough career in the comics, but he’s kept on going and has more than earned a shot at the big time now. He started off as a villain when he debuted in 1983, but fairly quickly fell out of use as he failed to mesh well in many stories.

Not to be defeated though, the Czarnian bounty hunter rose from the ashes to be a ‘90s antihero.

His gritty, cigar-chomping, shotgun blasting, motorbike riding image was supposed to be a parody of the likes of Wolverine and Punisher, but Lobo’s over the top aesthetic was actually a huge hit with fans.

Parody characters tend to date themselves, as once comic trends move on they’re no longer relevant. Lobo though has lasted to this day; he’s pretty much unstoppable.
