5. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (23 Years)
Oliver Stone's riveting portrayal of 1980's corporate excess inadvertently turned Michael Douglas' Academy Award-winning portrayal of Gordon Gekko into the poster-boy for yuppies. Of course, being an Oliver Stone movie means that Wall Street isn't particularly subtle, but it remains a well-acted and endlessly fascinating look at New York's high-rollers. Over 20 years later, the sequel arrived in the midst of the economic downturn, but even such a timely release couldn't end the director's creative losing streak. Money Never Sleeps isn't a bad movie, its just a forgettable one that is surprisingly toothless given Stone's incendiary nature, and wastes a great cast including Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Josh Brolin and Frank Langella, although Charlie Sheen does make a fun cameo. Given the prescient nature of the subject matter and the talent assembled, the director's first (and so far only) sequel definitely wasn't worth the wait.
