10 Deleted MCU Scenes You Have To See

9. Aaron Davis Calls Miles - Spider-Man: Homecoming

Miles Morales’ rights are still owned by Sony, so despite Disney snagging a whole host of Marvel heroes from Fox, Miles isn’t one of them. There’s a legal and licensing quagmire to wade through before we’d know what the chances are of Miles ever joining the MCU, but for now we can enjoy the fact that at least Aaron Davis is there.

Played by Donald Glover (Childish Gambino, if you prefer), Aaron makes reference to his cousin living in the neighbourhood when he helps Spidey get the Vulture’s dangerous weapons off the streets. This is obviously a nod towards Miles, and many fans were satisfied that he’d at least been established as existing, even if nothing else was going to come of it yet.

However, that scene was initially substantially longer, involving a phone call from Aaron directly to Miles. The conversation wasn’t of any real consequence, and that’s obviously why it was cut. Even its purpose of confirming Miles existence is fulfilled by Davis mentioning his cousin anyway.

It’s definitely a scene to watch if you’re a big fan of Glover or Miles Morales, but in the grand scheme of things, cutting it makes sense.
