4. A Bug Dance Didn't Make The Cut - Renfield

Look closely at the end credits that follow the horrific slice of vampire comedy that is Renfield, and you'll spot Nicholas Hoult's titular servant to the blood-sucking Count Dracula briefly dancing his way down a street.

Instead of just being a random piece of jigging thrown into the mix to make these closing credits seem a little more exciting, though, this was actually a moment that originally went down in a full-on dance number which director Chris McKay ultimately decided to leave out of the recent flick.

Along with noting how his Renfield was a "great dancer", McKay told Empire (via SyFy) the dance would have come after the moment Hoult's character met Awkwafina's Rebecca for the first time, with Renfield getting "moved by the music" before eventually shaking his hips with a bunch of "dancing maggots, cockroaches, and flies" to a cover of Jackie Wilson's 'Higher And Higher'.

But McKay felt that absolutely surreal sequence stepped on the montage that goes down when Renfield is inspired to get his own apartment and change his life after going to therapy, so he got rid of it.

However, for those who will no doubt be understandably devastated to learn how close they were to witnessing Hoult boogying down with a bunch of insects, the full absurd and rather impressive routine was at least thrown onto the flick's home release bonus features.
