4. David Fincher Loves Animal House
Think of a movie over the past fifteen or twenty years that you really loved, but you can’t remember who directed it. It was from David Fincher. Seriously.
Fight Club, Gone Girl, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Zodiac. They’re all David Fincher. The man has directed some of the best thrillers of the last two decades. And, Fincher is a definite cinephile. A few years back a handwritten list of Fincher’s twenty six favorite films went viral online. The list contained all the classic movies you’d expect like, Chinatown and Citizen Kane. There’s a surprising number of musicals like All that Jazz, and Cabaret, but the real shocker is number nineteen. That spot was reserved for the National Lampoon college classic- Animal House.
