10 Disappointing Comic Book Movies That Deserve A Second Chance

9. Sin City: A Dame To Kill For

The biggest mistake concerning the Sin City sequel was waiting so long to get it made. There was simply no hype for the film and despite still looking good, the stories just didn’t feel like they needed to be told or were worth the wait.

The stories themselves aren't going to become more compelling in another watch, but knowing this will allow you to focus on what makes the movie still an worthwhile affair. A Dame To Kill For is all about style over substance and should be viewed as such for a lighter and more rewarding experience.

The first film sold itself on its original style and striking graphic nature, which made it hard for the sequel to fall back on that same selling point. So even though the film was still a visual treat, it was looked upon unfavourably because it didn’t do anything new visually. It might not have marked a great progression for the series, but it was still a treat to go back to this graphic style for a couple more hours.

Frankly it’s more of the same, so while Sin City fans may be disappointed in the lack of innovation, t’s hard to say that you wouldn’t enjoy A Dame To Kill For is you liked Sin City.
