10 Disgraceful Actor Egos That Ruined Movies

7. Christian Bale - Terminator Salvation

Val Kilmer Batman Forever
Warner Bros.

Director McG’s Terminator Salvation is mostly remembered for two things: being one of the worst instalments in the Terminator franchise (after idiotic reboot Terminator Genisys, that is) and the F-bomb laden tirade star Christian Bale launched at cinematographer Shane Hurlbut after he accidentally interrupted Bale while he was shooting a scene in method actor zone.

Already known as somewhat temperamental, Bale certainly lived up to his reputation when he accused Hurlbut – who as cinematographer does a pretty important job – of being an amateur and a pr*ck and threatened to kick his arse and quit the film entirely.

Of course, it’s great when an actor takes their role seriously, which is the reason we’ve seen some amazing films from Bale but at the end of the day it’s only a movie and there’s no reason to be like that. Particularly not when it's being recorded and will be sent out across the world almost immediately.
