10 Disgusting Sci-Fi Movies You Watch And Then Never Forget
1. Alien (1979)
1979's Alien may be one of the most celebrated science-fiction movies of all time, but it's hard to argue that it isn't also one of the greatest horror movies ever made. The film follows a mining ship and its crew, who investigate a strange signal coming from a nearby moon.
While searching the surface, they encounter a derelict alien spacecraft, which has a supply of strange-looking eggs in one of its holds. While investigating, one of the crewmembers is attacked by a creature inside the egg, which can only be described as a facehugger, as it attaches itself to his face and renders him comatose.
After he comes to, the alien creature falls off dead, and it looks as if the man will be fine. Without notice, he screams in pain as an alien that was impregnated into his body bursts from his chest, killing him in a bloody and horrific way. The alien escapes, and quickly grows into a semi-humanoid killing machine.
The killings done by the alien in the film are frightening to behold. It routinely slams a second mouth into the foreheads of its victims, it bleeds a highly corrosive acid that easily melts through flesh, and it tears people apart. Few people who have seen Alien can forget the horror that the facehugger, chestburster, and brain-eating attacks instilled in them.
