Jaden Smith, son of Will, has to be one of the most irritating young performers working in Hollywood. From his rap career to his utterly incomprehensible Twitter feed, Smith has spread himself across multiple media. Unfortunately for him, it seems that a lot of people find him obnoxious, in whichever medium he appears. Last year, Smith scooped a Razzie for Worst Actor for his performance in After Earth. The film is a turgid, relentlessly dull sci-fi tale with Smith at the centre of it. Between After Earth and mediocre Karate Kid remake, Smith's career in the entertainment industry should've been dead in the water. However, with his musical output showing no signs of slowing and a sequel to The Karate Kid in the pipeline, Smith is not going to be away from our screens for very long at all. Cynically, it's easy to suggest that Smith is only where he is today because of his famous family. That would probably be unfair. Despite his lack of success on the big screen, though, there's something about him that keeps the casting people bringing up his name.
