Despite strong critical reviews and positive audience reception contributing to 2008's Bolt receiving credit for kick starting the Disney animation revival it is unlikely to receive a live-action remake for several reasons.
Despite great reception from those who saw it Bolt failed to reach box office figures that other Disney Revival films such as Tangled managed, only making $310 million worldwide which was barely 2x its $150 million budget.
Other factors indicating a live-action remake does not lie in Bolt's future is a lack of a sequel indicating that Disney were not impressed enough with Bolt's performance to continue his story.
Bolt has also seen poor longevity with the character having little current merchandise and very minimal representation in Disney theme parks, which is a good indicator of how highly Disney and Disney's fans rate the property.
Therefore, these factors combined suggest that Bolt will not be receiving a live-action remake.
