10 Disney Pixar Actors Who Are No Longer With Us

7. Peter O'Toole - Ratatouille

Ratatouille Ego Critic
Pixar

Who He Was

A veteran of British stage and screen, Peter O'Toole still holds the distinct, tragic honour of the most Oscar nominations for Best Actor without actually winning (with 8 nominations in total).

He was a classically trained graduate of the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, bringing Shakespearean poise and almost mischievous charm to every role he took on after breaking out with the beloved Lawrence of Arabia. He worked as an actor until 2012, a year and a half before his death.

Role: Anton Ego

Though he is presented as a villain, Anton Ego is one of Ratatouille's most complex characters, and his monologue about critics and art is one of the most truthful evaluations of art and criticism in any film. It's easily one of the best written segments of the entire Pixar series, and his luxurious delivery adds a good deal.

Died: 14th December, 2013
