10 Doomed Movie Characters Saved By Reshoots

Originally, Little Shop of Horrors more-or-less ended as the stage version of the musical did, with both Seymour (Rick Moranis) and Audrey (Ellen Greene) being devoured by the gigantic, man-eating plant known as Audrey II, before an army of plants takes over the entire world.

Director Frank Oz shot this ending, but it ended up scoring horribly with test audiences who found it too bleak and downbeat.

And so, Warner Bros. had Oz shoot a new, more upbeat finale in which Seymour kills Audrey II by electrocution, and he and Audrey then start a new life together.

Considering that Little Shop of Horrors was a box office disappointment regardless, it's a shame that the studio didn't stay the course and retain the ending from the beloved source material.
