Evans' two The Raid movies perfectly displayed his aptitude for shooting intense, hard-hitting action sequences, using the environment and choreography of each fight to make it feel unique and brutal.

These fight scenes would elevate Bond to a level that would feel much less polished and composed, and would demonstrate the ferocity of his opponents, as well as the desperation of Bond. He could create a rustier, out of practice image for Bond that would make his film stand out from the rest.

A role for Iko Uwais, the star of both The Raid movies, would be a perfect chance for Evans to shoot with a familiar performer, pushing the two to top themselves with an even more impressive display of martial arts, and really display the forces opposing Bond.

Finally, although his The Raid series is built around action first and foremost, Evans also manages to shoot some incredible moments of emotion. Specifically in the sequel, Evans shows the importance of key turning points to his characters and allows his actors to show their chops away from combat.
