10 Dumbest Character Resurrections In Star Wars History

It wouldn't be a list about dumb resurrections if it didn't include Darth Maul.

The stories that followed Maul's resurrection are some of the best material out there, his entire Clone Wars storyline was amazing on its own, let alone the final season.

But this does not detract from the fact that him being sliced in half and cast into a pit, only to survive because he was literally too angry to die, is just dumb.

The reason being is simply because it furthers the notion that death has no meaning in Star Wars. For all we know there's an angry Dooku head out there plotting his revenge. It has been established by some of the upcoming members on this list that falling into a pit is redundant, but being bisected? That's a step too far.

The real insult to injury is Maul's canonical death after his final encounter with an aged Obi-Wan. Their samurai showdown ends with a slight graze across the chest and down the Zabrak goes.

While the moment is indeed touching, it seems odd that this is how they chose to end the un-killable rage machine that is Maul.
