10 Dumbest Decisions In The Fast And Furious Saga

1. 'Improvising' With A Tank And Bridge

Fast & Furious 6 (2013) really goes to town on the concept of people jumping out of/off moving vehicles, with it ultimately landing as a sort of computer-generated ballet for the gas 'n' gears generation.

The film's central set piece features Dom and the gang tooling up in some god-tier eye candy cars to go after world-class mercenary Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) as he robs a military convoy and commandeers a tank.

In the maelstrom of quick-cut chaos that follows, Shaw's tank is anchored and flipped by the team, and Letty, who is inexplicably riding the hull, is launched from its surface like Buckaroo's bedroll.

Ever the late-hour strategist, Dom drives his car into the barrier separating the two roads across the bridge, catapults over a sheer drop, and catches Letty in mid-air. The pair return to her side of the road safe and sound, with nought but the brief crunch of a car windscreen.

Setting aside the fact that nothing even half as silly could ever work in the real world, the fact that Dom decided this was the appropriate course of action to take either shows a complete lack of brain processing power, a suicidal disposition, or a private knowledge of as-yet unrevealed superhero abilities - from a radioactive NOS Energy, perhaps?

Fonzie deserves a reprieve here: from now on, this kind of thing should really be known as 'jumping the tank'.
