6. Realizing That The Joker Was Right About Everything - The Dark Knight

Gotham City€™s man without a plan is indisputably Batman€™s most formidable adversary, and a rare example of a villain who isn't hell bent on world domination, or even personal gain. He just wants to watch the world burn, which makes him so much more frightening. Though, as terrifying as the Joker was, for a lot of us it's hard not to see his point on many issues. Make no mistake: there is a method behind his madness, he is more than simply €œan agent of chaos€. The Joker has a knack for exposing a person's true colors. We like to think of ourselves as noble, honest, and good, especially in comparison to other people. The Joker showed us that we will all turn on one another if given an opportunity, despite how civilized we claim to be. When the chips are down, €œcivilized€ people will indeed eat each other. It's almost mandatory that you take sides with the hero of a blockbuster action film but in this case the Joker just made so much more sense. And siding with somebody as seemingly deranged as the Joker is a very scary thought.
